The pieces in the relaxed open living room- where the everyday living happens, were selected with thoughts of the family dog and the minimal maintenance required for upkeep. Did you notice the pink socks on the sofa? Just a touch of something a bit different!

Old and New in Kew

There are various details worth mentioning in this project, such as the custom rug in the family living room, designed to give a nod to the era of the home; and, in the formal sitting room at the front of the house, the reupholstered furniture, that the clients had collected back in their university days from opportunity shops.

Highfield Road House

Completed in 2012, this project is an example that classic design doesn’t date! In fact, this design studio gave a contemporary spin on this style, making it modern and joyful, not heavy or dated.

Aberfeldie Blue

Moody blue tones and sumptuous textiles get people talking in this sitting room, and were used here to balance the existing rich red parquetry floors. A large area rug was custom designed for the space with a cymatic inspired pattern upon, which in turn created a subtle theme of movement and energy in the space – carried through with the selection of the photographic art of rolling waves, and the vibrant upholstery fabrics.

Brighton Copper Pops

Melbourne Interior Design:  A closed in and somewhat awkward space with turquoise laminate cabinetry that had seen better days, was the original state that we found this home in. An old period home with beautiful original details, Camilla Molders saw the potential of what could be, and set to work to bring this old house back to life! A simple monochrome colour scheme was used throughout, with touches of copper adding that little bit of zing in the kitchen!
