Iconic Asian Influenced Estate

When a customer travels a lot, they typically think about the necessity for a haven when deciding on their lifestyle. Alene Workman team learned from the earliest architectural meetings that this customer, who travels to the far east frequently, desired a modern home with only glimpses of Asia.

From thematic columns and stairway design to the colour palette and lighting that identifies the spaces with their art, the team produced the subtle, yet identifiable interior architectural aspects.

The Alene Workman team used earth tones and darker ones like brown and maple for this project, with a touch of beige thrown in for good measure. This home features a variety of sofas, including circular, rectangle, single, and outdoor sofas for those warm nights.

Miami Modern Penthouse

For the customer, the 9,000 square foot new penthouse residence with stunning ocean views was a labour of love. Alen Workman team was able to properly organise and merge the clients’ precise requirements into a stunning Miami modern home.

In each room, proper size and balance are achieved through the use of rich woods to soften the entire glass walls. Sumptuous finishes and furnishings are paired with dramatic ceiling designs emphasised by accent lighting.

As is customary in Miami, a lot of attention is paid to the colour white. This project wasn’t any different. The white sofas throughout the house create a fresh, serene, and relaxing ambiance. Alene Workman also used leather on the sofas to provide a touch of luxury.

Casual Contemporary Renovation

Alene Workman team considered creating a friendly, family-oriented contemporary lifestyle atmosphere when a dynamic young couple opted to expand and completely renovate their home. AW instantly recognised the need for space definition in this new open floor plan to establish places of rest and enjoyment.

A floor-to-ceiling buffet in pear wood with macassar ebony and onyx was added to the dining area. Comfort and relaxation are echoed throughout the home by warm and sumptuous materials.

We chose a more mid-century project for this last job, which was a departure from the norm. The entire house is filled with high-end materials, but the use of leather in nearly all of the sofas is a standout. Dark and brown tones predominate in the house when it comes to colour.
